Supporting personal and professional growth, coaching is based on self-initiated change in pursuit of specific, actionable outcomes and focuses on moving towards a desired future. The client is emotionally and psychologically healthy and is self-initiating change. The coach assists the client in gaining clarity through thought-provoking and clarifying questions and encouraging self-discovery.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.

Rather than giving advice, coaches gather information in the co-created process of change. Coaches honour the client as the expert in his or her life and believe all clients have the answers inside of them. Together, client and coach develop pathways to new and desired ways of being. A coach holds the client gently accountable for the goals of the client and reminds the clients of their strength and pursuits.

Mindset coaching is more than then setting a goal and pursuing it, it is a lasting effect that happens through ah-ha moments that are made possible by the safe and non-judgemental environment the coach creates. This allows insight from not only the conscious, but also the sub-conscious mind that is otherwise hidden, but rules our thoughts, habits and actions.
